The Medical Records Department is responsible for overseeing the timely processing, the completeness and when necessary, the retrieval of all patient medical records. The primary responsibility of the Medical Records Department is to ensure that an adequate medical record is maintained for every patient in our hospital. Records are also maintained for outpatients and patients who are seen in our emergency room. Each medical record must contain sufficient information to identify the patient, to justify the diagnoses, to delineate the plan of treatment and to document the results accurately.


The medical record of the patient is held confidential, and information may be released only in accordance with the law.
